Your contribution
Participation fee
The participation fee for applications until August 31st is fixed at CHF 200.-
Why is there a fee?
• It shows your motivation to take part in this event
• It reserves your spot to participate in the event
• It helps EUforIA to be more self sufficient by covering some of the costs of the event (only a small part though, real costs would be around CHF 3′500.- per participant!)
What does the fee include?
• 4 days of FULL TIME program with a professional team of facilitators
• Saturday night party, with bands and dancing
• 4 lunches, 3 dinners and snacks
• Accommodation (if needed, from October 13 to 17)
• Transportation in Geneva
Beware, however, that it does NOT include:
• Drinks during the evening program
• Transport to and from Geneva
Are there any scholarships?
Money should not be an obstacle for really motivated people to participate. Do not let the financial problem keep you from participating! Instead, apply for a full or partial scholarship when filling out the application form. However, we expect you to show your motivation in another way. Therefore, you’re asked to explain in the application process what form your contribution will take.
We highly encourage you to organise a BEAT (www.euforiaction.org/beat) on either climate change, human trafficking or fair fashion. It is a fun way of inspiring your friends and sharing your commitment with them. We have all the information to help you organize a BEAT at your place during 2-3 hours and would be happy to assist you in organizing one. Alternatively, you could write a report on ELAYS and have it published after the event, organise a fundraiser for a cause you care for, and, and, and: It’s up to you to convince us that your proposed activity is worth a scholarship!
Personal contribution
The non-negotiable contribution is the personal one: your motivation, your ideas and your smile… for the for 4 entire days! It is a (intensive) full time commitment, from October 13 7 p.m. to 17 6 p.m.! To insure the success you are required to participate in all parts of the program from morning until night (including night program) to assure the success of ELAYS!
