imp!act and euforia awards

Hello everybody,

As you might surely remember, we’ve launched a competition in December asking all former euforia event participants to submit their project proposals. Out of the numerous proposals we have received, euforia has chosen 9 quality projects to be submitted to a public vote.

How to vote?

You can vote in two different ways:

(1) each project can be “liked” with the Facebook like-button. This means that everybody can vote for a project, even people who are not member of the network.

(2) However, members of the network can cast a supplementary vote by giving feedback using the “Leave a reply” box at the bottom of the entry pertaining to a specific project. For this, you have to be logged in to the website with your CHANGEmaker network account. A feedback actually counts five facebook likes. That is 5 Facebook likes = 1 feedback. Each member can only leave give one feedback. If you leave more than one, your computer will auto-destruct. No kidding.

You can vote for more than one project. Of course, if you vote for every project, your vote doesn’t actually make a difference

Of course, it is possible to buy or exchange facebook likes on the web. However, we’d like to point your attention to the fact that a serious research team is helping us figure out whether you are cheating. This serious research team is being helped by a serious team of thugs.

Who wins?

The three projects which have received the most “likes” and feedbacks will each receive 2’500 CHF. However, euforia reserves the right to adjust these amounts in case a project’s budget lies below this amount.

The vote will be open until the 31st of January 2012 23:59.

The winner will be announced on February 1st in the morning (however, those of you who can do math can figure out for themselves who won already at 00:01 of February 1st).

In light of the fact that the funds for this competition are provided by euforia, that is, not yet by the members of the CHANGEmaker network, euforia will attribute a further 2’500 CHF to a project of particularly high-standing quality. However, the same project cannot both win the imp!act and euforia award.
